U.S. beekeepers have reported losing an average of 30 percent of all honeybee colonies each winter - well above the loss considered sustainable. Scientists point to many causes, including pesticides. State representative Del Krizek's HB 2030 works to establish stricter regulations on the use of neonicotinoids, and even authorizes localities to prohibit distribution, sale, or use of the pesticides.
